FRANK EDOHO

In the course of the week, an announcement was made about the widely viewed game show ,  Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, making a return on air with a new sponsor, Airopay.
NAIJADAILYPOST reports  that after 13 years of hosting the show, the famed broadcaster, Frank Edoho, would be dropped and substituted by someone yet to be made known.
One of the organisers of the show said dropping Edoho was an amicable agreement

“The only difference about the show is that the star prize money has reduced from N10m to N5m. Also, it is very likely that we are not going to use Frank Edoho as our anchor. We are not dropping him because we had any issue with him. I think he feels it is time to go and find other endeavours.

“For now, our viewers would only be able to play on the MTN platform till we are able to sort out ways whereby they can play from any network provider and that would be resolved very soon. We are under no obligation to play on the MTN platform alone. Airopay is thrilled to partner with Ultima Limited, whose passion and dedication to quality and world class productions are well known, by sponsoring the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Nigeria game show. Airopay is honoured by this partnership. Airopay and Ultima are convinced that the synergy between Airopay and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire game show will be mutually beneficial,” the source said.ℹ

NAIJADAILYPOST ADMIN hope the new anchor will be more interesting than FRANK EDOHO .

WOW! not again ,

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Agege area of Lagos, Mr Raheem Oyeniyi, on Tuesday defected to All Progressives Congress (APC), citing Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s sterling performance as a reason.

He gave notice of his defection in a letter to the APC ward chairman in Orile-Agege area on Tuesday.

According to  TheNewsGuru.com , Oyeniyi was  the PDP House of Representatives candidate for Agege constituency in the 2015 general elections.

In the letter titled “Letter of Intention to Return to All Progressives Congress’’, Oyeniyi said that he considered APC as a platform to actualize his dreams for the people.
Oyeniyi said he was a founding member of APC in 2013 but left the party due to internal wrangling and defected to PDP.

“I hope that you will use your good office in facilitating the necessary documentation to the effect,’’ Oyeniyi said.
NAN reports that the defector copied the Chairmen of APC in Orile-Agege, Agege, Lagos, National Headquarters, and all stakeholders including Sen. Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the Party.

Several PDP stalwarts, including seven out of eight Lagos State lawmakers elected under the platform of PDP in 2015, have defected to APC.

As at this stage what will be the hope of the PDP after it has lost several of it's key stalwart's to the ever booming APC .

Do you expect  more of this suprise diversion or do you expect the PDP to brace up and future diversion.

A former presidential candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi, has stated that restructuring is not the panacea to Nigeria’s development challenges.
He made the statement while speaking at “The Platform,’’ a national discourse forum organised by the Covenant Christian Centre in Lagos on Monday.

He further explained that some states with less resources were more developed than some resource-rich states.
The APC chieftain, therefore, said that the belief that the states would do better with more resources was a myth. He added that only those states that made the people the core of their governance would develop.

He described governance in most states as poor, while saying local governments in the country were dysfunctional.

“The local governments in the country are dysfunctional and are a bloody waste of resources,’’ he said.

Speaking further, Utomi said Nigeria needed to be restructured in a way that the costs of governance would be reduced, so as to be able to deliver the goods.

He described the call for the creation of more states as antithetical to development.

Utomi said the destiny of the country was in the hands of everyone and urged Nigerians to work for the progress of the nation.
